I love Russo's stripped down guitar and vocals releases, but hearing The Window on Back To The Party made me want to hear it with a full band so badly. I'm really happy this was done officially and I didn't half ass it in GarageBand for my own amusement
“Refuse To Lose” are lyrics from a song on Sam Russo’s "Back To The Party" album that was released in Spring of 2020, and here we are one year later. To say the record was doomed by the Pandemic would be a disservice to how great those songs are. His best LP yet, but the tours and PR and festival slots all got blown to smithereens… so what can ya do?! Here’s what Sam did: he recruited his mates Garth, Chris, and Dan to make an EP of full-band rock songs. It’s fun, fast, and loud, and it sounds less like Sam’s trademark ballads and more like a day at Hermosa Beach.

Found this album at a time I was in the habit of having a bad dream about you and me. It's great, the song's great, the band's great, corn dogs are probably mid at best. vincentavatar

Coming back to punk rock after spending a lot of time away listening to other things made this extremely hard hitting and fresh. McCaughan's poetic lyricsm in Sundowner shines through in this release. Somehow Metropole didn't hit me like most, but I can see how "You Are Here" was a precursor to one of my favorite records to come. Shaughn Martel
The second EP from Northern Irish singer-songwriter Bea Stewart runs from gentle folk to pillowy pop ballads, all perfectly executed. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 15, 2024
